The Most Wanted The North Face Jackets

  • The North Face’s Fanorak Jacket

The waterproof Fanorak jacket will protect you from the elements thanks to its waterproof fabric that provides an impenetrable moisture barrier for guaranteed dryness. Made using recycled polyester, this eco-friendly jacket reduces landfill waste and the use of virgin materials. Featuring two zip hand pockets and a hidden kangaroo pocket, the practical design can also be packed into its own pocket for light travel.

  • The North Face’s Evolve II Triclimate Jacket

The North Face’s Evolve II Triclimate jacket delivers three levels of protection. The outer layer is made from DryVent, which is a waterproof, windproof and breathable two-layer shell, while the inner jacket is made from resilient, hard wearing polyester fleece for insulation against the cold. Ideal for pairing with complementing Triclimate pieces, this lightweight jacket comes with an adjustable brimmed hood, which stows in the collar, and an adjustable hem to lock out wind chill.

  • The North Face’s Resolve Jacket

With a waterproof and breathable design, the brand’s Resolve jacket means you can enjoy outdoor trekking whatever the weather. DryVent technology shields you from wind and rain yet still allows your skin to breathe, while the front zip has a Velcro® storm flap for added protection against wind and rain. There is a hood that can be stowed in the collar, as well as zipped, covered hand pockets to keep you dry and warm.

How To Care For Your The North Face Jackets

The North Face jackets are built to last and also simple to care for. We would recommend always following the advice on the jacket’s care label.

• You can wash your GORE-TEX® and DryVent® products in the washing machine in warm water. We would advise that you do not use powder detergents, stain removers, fabric softener or chlorine bleach on any of your jackets.

• Down-filled jackets are delicate and will need special care to maintain maximum effectiveness, such as a gentle wash in the machine. When dried improperly, down can become uneven and lumpy.

FAQ

Are The North Face jackets expensive?

The North Face jackets range from £55 for some versions of the Fanorak, to £630 for the L6 Summit down parka. Jackets that are ideal for skiing and snowboarding, such as the Purist and A-cad Futurelight jackets, cost around £490.

Are The North Face jackets warm?

As most The North Face jackets are created with outdoor exploration in mind, many styles feature innovative features to ensure you remain cozy and comfortable. Jackets can feature lofty down insulation, as well as a Thermoball, which is a synthetic alternative to down. Thermoball uses small, round Primaloft synthetic fiber clusters that are similar to down clusters and trap heat within small air pockets to retain warmth. Jackets with PrimaLoft prevent you getting too cold even in wet conditions.

Which The North Face jackets are waterproof?

The North Face offers a wide selection of jackets that are waterproof, including the Quest hooded jacket and Inlux and Apex Flex styles. You will find some jackets are made from a waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane to ensure they are breathable yet fully weatherproof, while others have a waterproof DryVent™ membrane to make jackets fully waterproof, windproof and breathable.
