Charles Mackintosh was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1766. A former administrative clerk, he took a job as a chemist and began devoting all his spare time to the invention of new chemicals. The first ever Mackintosh coats were sold in 1824, made from waterproof rubberized fabric. Men's Mackintosh coats will never go out of style. This collection features storm system wool raincoats, handmade hooded cotton coats, and classic double breasted pea coats.
