Founded in 1945, Brioni was created by Nazareno Fonticoli and Gaetano Savini. Fonticoli, renowned for his tailoring skills, opened their first store in 1945. Brioni's name comes from the Italian name for the Croatian island group, the Brijuni islands and their first show was held at menswear capital, Pitti, in Florence. The highlight of their range is their belts, which come in a variety of styles. These include reversible weave, grained leather, suede square buckle, logo buckle belts and crocodile styles.
