Echo Park-based jewellery designer Kristen Levy got her first taste of design. Exploring the jewellery boxes of her mother and grandmother, she would rework broken jewellery into pieces for herself. Her passion for jewellery continued into adulthood, where she launched a small collection of unique pieces in 2005 under the name Kristen Elspeth. Drawing inspiration from Native American design, the brand also incorporates North American and African porcupine quills into many of her stunning pieces. The quills represent trust, innocence and intelligence as well as a symbol of protection from dark spirits. Kristen Elspeth's collection of jewellery ranges from bracelets to necklaces, in 14 karat gold.
