Burberry's dresses are effortlessly elegant, modern and flattering with bold colours and prints. The label enlivens its pieces with everything from flattering wrap fronts, to eye-catching details and nipped-in waists.
Made from fabrics like silk, cotton, and wool, the label combines quality fabrics with impeccable craftsmanship. Wear yours with vibrant sandals or pared-back pumps, depending on the occasion.
As cotton can often be prone to shrinking when it is washed and dried, it is recommended to check the individual care label for each piece and follow the instructions carefully. When it comes to cleaning cotton and cotton-blend materials, it is recommended to use a lower temperature wash at 30°C or below. This will help avoid colour fading and dye transfer. Cotton pieces can then be gently stretched to restore the original shape. Air dry cotton naturally.
Lace is a delicate and elegant fabric, which often requires special care to keep it looking its best for years to come. If your lace becomes stained, it will need to be cleaned quickly as stains can stick to the lace fibres permanently if left untreated for too long. We advise hand washing your lace garment in warm water, unless specified on the item’s care label. Use a mild detergent, and allow the lace to soak for around 30 minutes. Use a gentle plunging action to remove dirt and stains, and avoid rubbing. Never wring or twist lace fabric. Lay flat and allow to dry naturally, before folding and storing in a drawer. If you do decide to clean lace in the washing machine using a gentle wash cycle, it is advised to first place it in a laundry bag to protect it from getting damaged.
To help keep your silk items soft and in excellent condition for years to come, it is recommended to follow the instructions on each item’s care label. Some silk is ‘Dry Clean Only’, while other items may have ‘Dry Clean’ as the recommended cleaning method, but other methods may be used. If your silk is suitable for hand washing, use lukewarm water and a specific, mild detergent to help protect the silk’s natural properties. Avoid spot cleaning silk, as rubbing in only one area can cause the material to lighten in just that spot. Avoid putting in the tumble dryer and instead lay flat to dry naturally. If the care label advises machine washing, then ensure a gentle, cold-water cycle is chosen. If the care label on your silk item says that it can be ironed, then use a low iron setting and ideally iron while it is still slightly damp.
