Graduating from Antwerp's Royal Academy of the Fine Arts in 1981, Ann Demeulemeester showcased her first collection at Paris Fashion week ten years later. One of the 'Antwerp Six' collective, Demeulemeester's experimental nature has not waned since those days. Her collections today encompass womenswear, menswear, accessories and jewellery but the ethos remains constant, with close attention to detail and unusual textures. The designer's jewellery evokes hard-edged, directional style with rustic-luxe elements. From chunky, polished, abstract rings to long chains featuring feathers and sharp stone pendants, the jewellery collection utilities the label's monochromatic, greyscale palette.
