Brittany Du-Crow, Lyst Editor

There’s no better time than the start of the year to edit your wardrobe and make room for fresh new pieces – once that’s out of the way (we know it’s not easy), you can finally start getting excited for new-season shopping.

Thankfully, there are plenty of emerging designers making waves in the industry right now, so you won’t be stuck for inspiration. From just-launched labels to well-known names that keep selling out thanks to your favorite influencers, these are the brands everyone will be wearing in 2018.

1. BY FAR

You’re probably already familiar with Bulgarian label BY FAR (the stylish sisters of HAIM are already fans), but its highly coveted shoes are getting more popular by the minute. Co-founded by friends Valentina, Sabina and Denitsa, the label is loved for its classic-meets-contemporary designs – think square-toe pumps and block-heeled mules in luxurious Italian leather.

2. Harmony Paris

If you consider yourself a minimalist, you’ll want to keep an eye on Harmony Paris this year. Founded by designer David Obadia in 2014, the label is quickly becoming a go-to brand for elevated essentials designed with a pared-back approach. Don’t miss the sporty striped sweaters and luxe knitwear.

Ever since Little Liffner burst on the fashion scene in 2012 with its D Tiny bag, the Stockholm-based brand has rapidly gained a cult following thanks to its signature blend of sleek Scandinavian design and impeccable Italian craftsmanship. Invest the crocodile-embossed D Saddle bag now and you’ll wear it all year.

4. Love Stories

As you may expect from its name, Dutch brand Love Stories delivers intricate lingerie with a romantic aesthetic – but don’t let that fool you into thinking function isn’t important here. Blending luxe fabrics like lace and velvet with sporty elements, the label’s intimates are made to be mixed and matched for an individual finish.

5. Rejina Pyo

Born in Seoul and based in London, Rejina Pyo has quickly become one to watch since launching her eponymous label in 2013. The designer’s signature details (circular hardware, sculptural silhouettes, graphic shapes) can be spotted on the Instagram feeds of cool girls everywhere – now you can be one of them.

6. Miaou

Thanks to the likes of Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski, Miaou's pinstriped Tommy jeans became the unofficial It-girl uniform of the year. The label shows no sign of slowing down in 2018, either – as well as its signature chain-belt pants, Miaou has expanded to include 90s-style slip dresses and embroidered corset tops that are set to take over your warm-weather wardrobe.

7. STAUD

You may have spotted STAUD's Moreau net bucket bag on the arm of your favorite street-style star, but the label’s ready-to-wear collection is also worth following. Creating laid-back staples with a vintage influence, STAUD is now a go-to brand for modern essentials that exude effortless LA cool. We’ve already added the Pietro satin pants and Amelie mini dress to our save-for-later list.
